A Great Thanksgiving

Are you recovered from the Thanksgiving holiday weekend? I know I am still working on it! We had a great holiday weekend and feel so blessed to have been able to spend it with wonderful family.  As Thanksgiving day came to an end, Adam and I attended 3 Thanksgiving dinners. We are fortunate to have much of our family around the area, however it does make our holidays a bit crazy as we try to get to everything! Practicing portion control was essential for us to get through the day. I work hard to practice what I preach and it was definetly put into action this day!

A highlight of my weekend was taking my 2 1/2 year old neice to the Children’s Museum in Brookings on Friday. This picture is of Kate grocery shopping at the store in the museum. To say the least, Aunt Kelsey is very proud of her grocery selections!  It’s essential to teach them good nutrition at a young age to promote life long health and longevity. If you haven’t been to the museum, I highly encourage it! There are many options for the children to do, that not only promotes learning, but also activity!
