Mexico Finale

Vacations are great for taking the time to relax and get away from all of the stresses of regular, everyday life.  Here I am lounging out in one of the canopy beds overlooking the ocean.  It was a great time…a good weather pick-me-up…and easily made exercising each day much more fun.  You can still relax and have a great time, and still remember to take care of yourself in all aspects, including your own health.  It was also great to get to spend time with….

….my Sarah…my one and only.  My training partner, and partner in life.  I couldn’t do it without you Sarah!

This brings our Mexico excursion to completion.  Time to move on to other topics, of which the list is never ending.  Stay tuned for more to come….

Mexico Exercise

In between relaxing and eating, if we did not go for a run or walk outside, we went into the gym that they had at the resort.  Some pretty nice equipment, and it helped keep the interest by getting to use some different things.  Besides, it was also cool in there.  I would take the heat and humidity outside anyday versus the continued weather we keep having here…

…Sarah working out on the ellipitical machine.  We don’t get to use one of these much back at home.  We have a treadmill and bikes, but not this, so it made for some nice changes…

Mexico Activities

Vollyball was one activity to help enjoy being outside.  There were some days that were more windy, and in the afternoon it did get really warm.  Did I just say really warm????  I would take that heat in a heartbeat right now.  With this sudden onset of a blizzard that was not even predicted for tonight, I will take warm and humid any day.  The weather was perfect to go out for walks, which we did plenty of.  This is a view of what we got to see daily….

Spring is coming, right??

Mexico–Other Exercise

There were lots of other activities to do while we were on vacation in Mexico.  Here is a lifesize chess board, where you had to keep moving around the board to figure out your next move, and how you wanted to proceed.  Following this….

…it was then off to the ping pong table.  Following this, it was then off to the canopy again for another nap, listening to the ocean, and relaxing.  I will show you some views of this as well coming up as I wrap up the Mexican adventure over the next few days.

Mexico Vacation–Snorkeling 2

The snorkeling was very good in Mexico.  Part of the adventure the one day, after snorkeling out in the ocean covering about a mile, we came back and went snorkeling in one of the caves.  Very colorful, and scenic, but very cold, or as they said, “very refreshing!”  Here is Sarah and I posing at the turn around point.

This is one view of what we got to see above the surface of the water.  Below the water, again was very colorful, and crystal clear.  There was not much for fish here, as the bulk of this water was fresh water.  Stay tuned as we continue to exlpore Mexico the active way….

Mexico Vacation–Snorkeling

This was the cenote where we went snorkeling.  The top right of the picture is the deck we got to jump off to get in the water, and on the left side is the zip line we got to go down in as well.  The snorkeling was great here, lots of things to look at, very clear water.  Spent about 1 hour here.  Following this, we got to go into one of the caves to go snorkel, and I will show pictures of this tomorrow.

Here I am being pushed on the zip line.  This, and the jump off of the deck, were a lot of fun!  This is also part of a good vacation, right??
